Who we are

The Membercare Network (MCN) Switzerland is a working group of AEM Switzerland. It was founded at the beginning of 1999 and is made up of five to seven representatives from various Swiss missionary organizations. MCN Switzerland is in good contact with Member Care Europe and Member Care Partner Germany and works on the basis of the SEA.

Mission Statement

As MCN, our goal is to support AEM member organizations so that their employees and children are adequately cared for in preparation, in the country of assignment and in the return process, so that they can carry out their service holistically (body, soul, spirit).

Mode of operation

MCN Switzerland sees itself as a coordinating hub for services, a contact point for specialists and experts, as well as an information point for resources on the subject of membercare.

HB, MAF / Mission experience: 25 years with YWAM/YWAM in Germany, Eastern Europe + Asia, with MAF in People Care since 2023

We make information about existing membercare services (Switzerland and German-speaking countries) and specialists available to missionary organizations, churches and people seeking advice at any time.

Third-Culture-Kids-Care Switzerland

The TCKs receive appropriate support in preparation, in the country of assignment and in the return process to ensure that they experience healthy development.

Event planner

Every year, the Membercare network offers at least one training course in German for membercare and specialist staff from AEM organizations in Switzerland. We also maintain and expand contact at European level with EMCC, e.g. in the Executive Committee.

Info point

We maintain a distribution list of M-organizations and those interested in Member Care, to whom we forward relevant information and invitations to training courses on the topic of “Member Care”. We also provide regular updates on the work of the MCN core team by sending out minutes of meetings.
